Does This Sound Familiar To You?

You’re a tech leader in a growing company with over $2 million in annual revenue. Your team is talented, and your projects are ambitious, but something isn’t quite right. Projects are running late, budgets are being stretched, and your team is feeling the strain. You find yourself dealing with any and all of the challenges mentioned below.

Now, Picture A New Reality

With our Project Management Training, you and your entire team can turn these challenges into triumphs.

Check Each Challenge And Transformation

Challenge: Communication Breakdowns

Team members, managers, and clients have different ideas on when and why something should be prioritized. This leads to misunderstandings, delays and frustration, and you’re left scrambling to mediate conflicts and clarify goals.

Miscommunication contributes to 57% of projects that fail.

Real World Example

One of the largest clients of a company called ahead to let the company know they would be coming for a visit. They specifically requested to see a sample of a particular product.

The CEO called the next manager down the line to let him know about the situation. This manager called the next manager down and told him about a different priority.

In a sequence of five levels down, the priority and instructions to the ones that would perform the work had changed an equal number of times. This was despite the client request and direct instructions from the CEO

Transformation: Clear and Effective Communication

Equip your team with the skills to enhance communication, ensuring everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goals. Avoid miscommunications, and if conflicts arise, you’ll know how to get all parties to collaborate on a solution instead of continuing to argue with each other. You’ll effectively turn a situation from “me against you” to “us against the problem”.

Challenge: Disengaged Employees

There’s always that one team member who doesn’t seem to care or doesn’t see the importance of finishing their job on time, which makes the rest of the team have to wait. As this goes on, others will complain resulting in a negative loop of increased tension between the members of the team, and even with clients.
Real world example: For about three years the customer support team had repeatedly been asked if a well established company could implement a specific feature. There was one developer who knew this particular system, and while he always said he would get to it, he never did. One day his manager confronted him and asked how long it would really take to implement the update. When the manager came back from lunch the same day, the developer announced that he had implemented the feature. Three years of client and co-worker frustration, and all it took was a couple of hours of work.

Transformation: Understanding of Impact

With a clear understanding of their role in the bigger picture, each team member will understand their role’s significance and how their work contributes to the project’s and the company’s success, boosting motivation and productivity.

The Boston Consulting Group conducted a global research across 25 industries, indicating that nearly half of all respondents said that more than 30% of the technology development projects in their organizations suffer from delays or budget overruns, while nearly one in five respondents indicated that less than satisfactory outcomes occur more than 50% of the time.

The Solution Is Not A New Software

Yes, you read that right. Even if you and I are both in the world of technology and we both know that software can effectively solve major problems, I’m telling you that changing what software you use for project management is not going to solve the challenges you’re dealing with on a daily basis. In fact,
the solution does not require you to learn a new software at all.

A Solution For The Whole Team

If a solution does not include everyone involved, it is likely to remain an interesting bit of knowledge for a select few, and nothing more. Take for example how you have attended or sent someone to attend a conference, workshop, or training, and white it was an inspiring event, no real impact to the business was achieved.

The knowledge of one person can benefit many.
The knowledge of the collective, when applied, has an infinitely greater impact.

Two Beginnings

You may be familiar with the saying that “whatever a developer tells you, double the cost and the timeline”. Maybe you have even experienced this yourself?

For Chris, the founder of MaxReach, his initial experience with software projects was actually different. The team he worked with usually finished a project on or before time. Still, he had heard others express their frustrations with software development projects, and combined with getting involved with a project that was heading towards major delays, Chris decided to dig deeper into the reason for the many issues associated with software development projects.

This decision led to a two-year deep dive into everything related to project management, and specifically related to software development. During this time Chris met an individual who became a mentor and good friend. This person had an exceptional start to his project management journey: After the Challenger accident, NASA gave him a blank check and commissioned him to go anywhere in the world to learn best practices in project management.

Long story short, he taught Chris everything he had learned from over 30 years of implementation across a wide range of industries and companies from startups to Fortune 100 companies like HP, Motorola, P&G, and more.

Does It Work? You Bet!

While on average only 16.2% of software projects are completed on time and on budget, and only 9% in larger organizations,  companies that implement what we teach see up to 93% of their projects being completed on time and on budget.

Results In Just a Few Days

We had a project that was running behind schedule, and for months I had tried to get the team to communicate better. After only three days communication had greatly improved. Combined with a renewed focus we were able to accomplish in only two weeks what otherwise would have taken three months.
